The villa town on the Lössnitz slopes also boasts numerous museums and collections such as the Karl May Museum with the themed "Bärenfett" villa. Today the Hoflössnitz estate is home to a wine museum - the doll collection has been moved to Dresden. The Volkssternwarte ("People's Observatory") with its Planetarium is also worth a visit. Sprawling walking trails lead through the vineyards and sleepy little valleys - providing fantastic views across Dresden and all the way to the ridges of the Ore Mountains.
